Job Title -Salaried GP Salary -£11,913 per session per annum Sessions -Minimum 5 sessions per week (ideally 6 sessions Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays) Reports to -Partners (Clinically) and Practice Manager (Administratively) Job Summary The post holder will support the partners in managing a busy and varied clinical caseload, ensuring the highest standard of care for all patients. The successful candidate will undertake the duties expected of an NHS General Practitioner, in line with GMC and RCGP standards and relevant national and local guidance. Main Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Undertake surgery consultations and telephone consultations in line with the practice timetable Assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions Make autonomous clinical decisions and formulate management plans Provide health promotion, disease prevention and patient education Refer patients appropriately to secondary care and other services where needed Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records Prescribe safely and in accordance with local and national guidance Complete correspondence and clinical administration in a timely manner Undertake home visits where appropriate Professional Responsibilities Maintain GMC registration and work within professional standards and codes of conduct Ensure compliance with practice policies and procedures Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team Maintain effective communication with colleagues and external agencies Participate in audit, quality improvement and service development activity Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Information Governance principles Personal and Professional Development Participate in annual appraisal and professional development activity Complete mandatory training requirements Maintain continuing professional development and revalidation requirements Additional Information The practice supports clinicians with portfolio interests and wider development opportunities, including involvement in quality improvement work, service development and cross-city initiatives where appropriate.
