Information Security Cloud Consultant/Architect

We are looking for an experienced Information Security Cloud Consultant/Architect to join our Information Security Team on an initial 3-month contract (Outside IR-35). This role will support the secure design, assurance and implementation of cloud services across AWS and Microsoft Azure, helping to enable B&M's cloud transformation and evolving AI strategy.

Working closely with internal teams, project stakeholders and third-party partners, you will provide cloud security expertise to ensure solutions are designed securely, aligned to business requirements and support B&M's Information Security Architecture Strategy.

In This Role,

You Will Be Responsible For

• Providing security architecture guidance and assurance across AWS and Azure projects.
• Reviewing cloud designs and ensuring solutions align with security standards, governance requirements and architectural principles.
• Supporting the development of secure cloud architectures, patterns and landing zones.
• Conducting security reviews, risk assessments and design assurance activities.
• Working with technical teams and suppliers to embed security-by-design principles throughout project delivery.
• Supporting the secure adoption of cloud technologies and services that underpin B&M's AI strategy.
• Ensuring cloud security controls integrate effectively with existing enterprise security capabilities.
• Producing security documentation, recommendations and technical guidance.
• Identifying opportunities to improve cloud security, governance and operational effectiveness.

The

Skills and Experience You'll Bring

• Strong experience designing, securing and reviewing AWS and Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience working as a Cloud Security Architect, Security Consultant, Security Architect or similar role.
• Good understanding of cloud security architecture, Zero Trust principles, identity and access management, network security, encryption and monitoring.
• Experience supporting multi-cloud, hybrid cloud or enterprise cloud transformation programmes.
• Knowledge of cloud security services and tooling across AWS and Azure.
• Experience integrating cloud security controls with wider enterprise security platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and consultancy skills.
• Experience producing security architecture documentation, designs and recommendations.
• Exposure to Cisco security technologies would be advantageous.
• Experience supporting cloud environments that enable AI, data and emerging technology initiatives would be beneficial.
• Relevant security or cloud certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS, Azure, SABSA or TOGAF would be advantageous.
