Our client, a leading provider of educational services in Hillingdon, Greater London, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Part-time SEND / SEMH Tutor to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students, providing personalised support and guidance to help them reach their full potential.

As a Part-time SEND / SEMH Tutor, you will work closely with our client's talented team of educators, therapists, and support staff to deliver tailored educational programmes for students with special educational needs and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

Your primary responsibilities will include

  • Conducting thorough assessments to identify each student's unique strengths, needs, and learning styles
  • Developing and implementing customised lesson plans and teaching strategies to address individual student goals
  • Utilising a range of evidence-based pedagogical approaches, including multi-sensory techniques, to support students' academic, social, and emotional development
  • Collaborating with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive support system for each student
  • Maintaining detailed records of student progress and regularly communicating with the wider team to ensure optimal outcomes

To be successful in this role, you will possess a deep understanding of special educational needs and SEMH, as well as a passion for helping young people reach their full potential. You will have a strong background in education, with a proven track record of delivering engaging and effective lessons. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, as you will be working closely with a diverse range of stakeholders.
