Monday to Friday, 1pm to 6pm, 25 hours per week

£20,000 p/a actual salary (£30,449 p/a FTE)

Holy Cross Preparatory School is an outstanding independent school for girls aged from 3 to 11 years. We are seeking to appoint a friendly, professional and highly organised Admin Assistant to join our busy front office. This is a varied and fast-paced role, providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the school office and acting as a key point of contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors.
The successful candidate will
- Provide a warm, efficient and professional reception service, handling enquiries in person, by phone and via email
- Manage correspondence, maintain accurate records and support school-wide administrative processes
- Assist with attendance monitoring, pupil records and school communications, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times
- Support the organisation of meetings, school events and admissions processes, including open events and prospective parent enquiries
- Contribute to maintaining a welcoming, professional and well-organised reception environment
- Provide pastoral support to pupils and administer first aid (training can be provided)
This role would suit someone who
- Has experience working in a busy, service-focused environment (school experience desirable)
- Demonstrates excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Has strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a calm, tactful and professional manner
- Is confident using IT systems including Microsoft Office and databases
- Works with initiative, attention to detail and a high level of integrity and confidentiality
- Is enthusiastic, flexible and committed to supporting the wider life of the school
