Working within the Responsible Sourcing Department, the Packaging & Compliance team plays a vital role in ensuring data integrity and regulatory alignment across UK and European packaging and product legislation, including associated taxes, legislation and sustainability targets.
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance & Packaging Data Coordinator to support primarily with our Timber Compliance function. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on curiosity, enjoys solving complex problems, and communicates with clarity and confidence across teams and stakeholders. What you'll be doing

- Support Dunelm’s compliance with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and UK Timber Regulation (UKTR) across all timber/wood categories and in‑scope derived goods.
- Act as a key contact for internal teams and suppliers on timber regulatory requirements, due diligence expectations, and data quality.
- Maintain and operate the Due Diligence System (DDS), ensuring accurate HS code identification, geolocation data, supplier information, risk assessments, mitigation actions, and evidence management.
- Work with our third‑party assessor to track supplier risk assessments, review outcomes, and support the completion of corrective action plans (CAPs).
- Champion data monitoring and analysis across compliance & packaging, embedding best practices and influencing decision-making.
- Drive process improvements by designing and implementing methodologies that enhance analytical capability and process reliability
- Provide training, guidance, and escalation where suppliers do not meet EUDR/UKTR data standards or fail to achieve “negligible risk” outcomes.
- Ensure only fully compliant stock is approved for EU dispatch, supported by robust documentation and traceability.
- Monitor updates to EU and UK regulatory guidance, ensuring changes are captured in supplier requirements, internal processes, and system controls.
- Maintain strong governance of data and documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.
What we'll look for in you

- Curiosity and a keen interest in learning more about timber / forest risk sustainability compliance (EUDR + UKTR).
- Excellent communicator with the confidence to challenge assumptions and the ability to explain complex findings in a clear, accessible ways
- A good understanding of critical path management and excellent Microsoft excel and data analysis skills.
- Detail-orientated and a strong problem solver
- Strategic mindset with a focus on driving continuous improvement across systems, processes, and ways of working
- Experience in data analysis with exposure to large complex data sets
- Advanced Excel skills essential, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and tools
- Familiarity with Timber regulations, packaging legislations, and product compliance is beneficial, but not essential—we’re open to curious learners ready to grow into the role.
