Micro Space Planner - Retail
£36,000 to £45,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A)
Manchester city centre, hybrid working (the team tend to come into the office once a week) with occasional travel to visit stores
12-month fixed term contract covering maternity leave
We’re looking for a Micro Space Planner to join our Merchandising Team to help shape the way our stores are laid out, benefitting both our customers and the business. You’ll make a huge contribution to accomplishing category goals by creating merchandising plans that deliver customer and business value. What you’ll do
- Translate key information from buyers and marketing teams to create and maintain customer centric planograms using JDA software
- Evaluate effectiveness of merchandising planograms, in terms of sales, profit and customer availability to ensure effective use of micro space.
- Manage multiple range reviews so that critical milestones are delivered on time and aligned to category strategies.
- Improve operational efficiency and customer experience through planograms
- Support ongoing projects in the Merchandising team
- Work cross functionally with Commercial, Supply Chain and Store operations teams to ensure successful planogram implementation to deliver continuous improvement
This role would suit people who have
- A strong understanding of space planning principles ideally with experience using space planning tools and category management
- Great analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Commercially minded, with the ability to balance customer goals with business needs
- A talent for building strong relationships with partners across the business, able to challenge
- The ability to work to tight deadlines and juggle conflicting priorities
- Solid Excel skills, able to perform advance functions and formulas
- Strong presentation skills
