An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Head Veterinary Nurse to join a dedicated veterinary team in Oxford, Oxfordshire. This full-time role is ideal for an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) who is ready to lead, inspire and develop a nursing team while delivering exceptional standards of patient and client care.
As Head Veterinary Nurse, the successful candidate will provide clinical leadership to the nursing team, ensuring the delivery of outstanding veterinary care while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance, operational excellence and clinical best practice.

The Role
The Head Veterinary Nurse will be accountable for the clinical leadership and day-to-day support of the nursing team. They will ensure patients, clients and colleagues receive the highest standards of care while maintaining compliance with all RCVS, regulatory and operational standards.
Typical responsibilities will include
- Delivering exceptional patient care through nurse-led appointments, Schedule 3 activities, consultations, surgeries and procedures
- Monitoring and managing patient care, including admissions and discharges
- Supporting the delivery of excellent client care and communication
- Providing clinical leadership, coaching and development to the veterinary nursing team
- Ensuring the practice maintains high levels of clinical, operational and regulatory compliance
- Inspiring colleagues and supporting a positive, collaborative team culture
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care.
They will be a confident and capable leader with experience motivating and developing colleagues, while maintaining high clinical standards in a busy veterinary environment.

- RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) status
- Previous experience within a veterinary nursing role
