Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and organised Care Home Activities Coordinator to enhance the quality of life for residents in our care home. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities tailored to the needs of our residents, including those with dementia and Physical disabilities. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of elderly individuals by fostering social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities
Develop and coordinate a diverse programme of activities suitable for residents with dementia, and Alzheimer's care.
Lead group activities such as arts and crafts, music sessions, games, and outings to promote social engagement.
Collaborate with care staff to assess individual resident preferences and capabilities, ensuring activities are personalised and inclusive.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, making adjustments as necessary to maximise participation and enjoyment.
Maintain accurate records of activities undertaken and resident participation levels.
Foster a warm, friendly environment that encourages residents to participate actively in daily life.
Support residents in maintaining their independence through tailored activity plans that promote physical and mental well-being.
