Mammography Associate | Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

The post holder will work as part of a designated clinical team and carry out specific clinical tasks and responsibilities under the supervision of a state registered practitioner, within the screening and symptomatic breast services. In addition a range of support duties will be undertaken including assisting radiologists, clinicians and radiographers during diagnostic breast investigations.

The post holder will be a member of the multi-disciplinary breast team and will undertake duties at OBIC and on the mobile breast screening units located at various sites across Oxfordshire.

· To work within the Scope of Practice for Mammography Associates/Assistant Practitioners in Breast Imaging and undertake screening and symptomatic mammograms in the static and mobile clinics.

· To assist in interventional procedures (core biopsies, vacuum assisted core biopsies and localisations) as required, including preparation of procedure trolley and support of patient undergoing procedure.

· To assist in US when needed.

· Complete QA testing on a daily, weekly and monthly basis at the static and mobile units.

· To process and prepare images and paperwork for clinical reporting.
