About this role

The post holder will be responsible for providing efficient and high-quality clerical support to the Bladder and Bowel Team and will play an integral part in maintaining the smooth running and operation of the bladder and bowel service.

The post holder will have excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate effectively with key members of the multidisciplinary team, working in partnership with colleagues, schools and other services to ensure a positive experience and good health outcomes for service users.

The Bladder & Bowel Administrator / Support Worker provides administrative and clinical support to children, young people, families, and carers accessing the Camden Bladder and Bowel Service.

The postholder contributes to the delivery of a safe, effective, and responsive service by supporting the Enuresis Nurse and School Nursing Team in coordinating care, maintaining accurate clinical records, responding to enquiries, supporting continence care pathways, and undertaking delegated support worker duties.

Support the Enuresis Nurse to pre-screen referrals and provide initial advice and reassurance to young people and parents.

Support the Enuresis Nurse in reviewing nappy fitting requests.

Complete nappy size changes on the NHS Nappy Delivery Portal.

Act as the bladder and bowel link worker for Swiss Cottage Special School and Camden mainstream schools with specialist units for children with additional needs.

Undertake general support worker duties, including staffing the School Nurse Duty Desk telephone line and email account.

Respond to enquiries from schools, parents, carers, and professionals in a professional and timely manner.

Update and maintain accurate clinical records on System One.
