Job Description and Person Specification
These responsibilities will be carried out under the guidance of the shift co-ordinator.Clinical leadership1. Manage a coordinated nursing service in liaison with the Matron and all members of the multidisciplinary team maximising high quality patient care.2. To maintain clinical credibility through practice and to utilise the findings of nursing researchand evidence-based care to optimise high quality patient care.3. To monitor and review nursing practice regularly, participating in audits which must includedocumentation in accordance with Trust policy and NMC Guidelines.4. To maintain the continuity of quality nursing care that responds flexibly to patients and carersneeds and includes a safe transfer to relevant care setting. Work closely with and support teamleaders, ensure appraisals are up to date within the team, provide guidance and mentorship fordesignated team leader.5. Monitoring of trends and prevalences of clinical incidents in liaison with the Matron and CNSaccording to the Trusts Risk Management Guidance and Directives and develop strategies toprevent them reoccurring
