This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced MET Technician or Strip & Fit Technician to join a busy and successful Accident Repair Centre in Croydon. Offering a strong basic salary, excellent bonus potential, and a Monday to Friday working pattern, this role is perfect for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality repairs using the latest manufacturer-approved methods.
Working alongside an experienced team of Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians, and Vehicle Damage Assessors, you'll play a key role in returning vehicles to pre-accident condition while developing your career within a professional Bodyshop environment.

The Role
As an MET Technician / Strip & Fit Technician, you will be responsible for dismantling, repairing, and reassembling accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards, ensuring every repair is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality.
Your responsibilities will include
•
Stripping and refitting mechanical, electrical, and trim components
•
Diagnosing damaged parts and identifying repair requirements
•
Repairing and replacing mechanical and electrical components
•
Carrying out repairs in line with manufacturer repair methods
•
Working closely with Panel Beaters and Paint Technicians to ensure an efficient repair process
•
Completing quality inspections before vehicle handover
•
Maintaining accurate workshop documentation
•
Following all health and safety procedures
About You
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have
•
Previous experience as an MET Technician, Strip & Fit Technician, Vehicle MET Technician, Strip Fitter, or Bodyshop Technician
•
A recognised qualification such as NVQ, VCQ, SVQ, ATA, or equivalent
•
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with an excellent understanding of modern vehicle repair techniques
•
Experience working within a busy Bodyshop or Accident Repair Centre
•
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
•
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
•
A motivated, professional, and quality-focused approach
