What skills and experience we're looking for

EXPERIENCE

● Successful teaching in Key Stage 2 that meets the requirements as described in the Professional Standards for Teachers - or if an ECT, successful teaching placements during teacher training

PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING

● Up-to-date knowledge of teaching and learning strategies

● Understands and uses a range of forms of assessment to monitor children’s work to help them make progress

● Has a secure knowledge of the national curriculum and related pedagogy

● Has excellent literacy, maths, ICT (including AI) and written communication skills

● Understands issues in relation to achievement and diversity

● Has up to date knowledge of matters related to Safeguarding, health and well-being of children

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

● Is able to plan and teach challenging, motivational and well organised lessons

● Can assess and monitor children’s work providing feedback to help them learn

● Will evaluate practice and refine approaches where necessary

● Knows how to create a purposeful learning environment

● Committed to further professional learning and a keenness to learn and grow within a team
