About the role
As a Beauty Guide, you'll be involved in creating the ultimate cosmetic shopping experience for our customers though personalised appointments, shop floor demonstrations and events.
You'll help customers to discover the very best products from across our Beauty Hall, providing inspirational and impartial beauty and skincare advice. You'll also be creating social media content to showcase our latest trends and offers.

Position
This is a 6-Month Fixed-Term opportunity.
Hours of work
37.48 hours per week. Working 5 out of 7 days on a rotational basis. Shifts will fall between 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Monday to Saturday) and 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Sunday), aligned with branch trading hours.

Key Responsibilities
- You will serve and support our customers by creating memorable shopping experiences where they'll leave with the best possible impression of you and the John Lewis brand.
-Working as part of a team you'll be facilitating appointments with customers and hosting beauty talk events to larger groups.
- Thinking creatively and commercially to maximise sales and profit opportunities.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends in make-up and skincare.
- Support the learning and growth of Customer Assistants by openly sharing your knowledge.

Enjoy a dynamic working day featuring a mix of pre-booked consultations and pop-up appointments. You will have the autonomy to lead your work while staying agile enough to support other areas of the shop when needed.
Essential skills/experience you'll need
- Great customer service skills.
- Ability to demonstrate makeup and skin care.
- Keen interest in beauty and being up to date on the latest trends.
Desirable skills/experience you may have
- Previous experience in a beauty or skincare role beneficial
-Experience in presenting to groups of people.
Varied hours of full time work across seven days including alternate wekeends between the hours of 08:50-18:10.The partnership
