Southfields Academy seeks a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher to join our Humanities department, specialising in Travel & Tourism and Geography. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students to explore the world and understand its diverse cultures and environments.

About the Role

You will

  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in Travel & Tourism and Geography.
  • Develop a stimulating curriculum that fosters students’ understanding of global issues, sustainable tourism, and geographical concepts.
  • Inspire students to develop a passion for travel, exploration, and understanding the interconnectedness of our world.
  • Contribute to enriching the curriculum through fieldwork and extracurricular activities.
  • Work collaboratively within the Humanities department to enhance teaching and learning.

Staff are provided with tea and coffee during break time and there is a designated staff counter in the dining room at which staff can purchase food at cost price during the school day.

The Academy has a private day nursery available at a discount to all Academy Staff, subject to spaces being available. Subject to the position and to negotiation with the Principal, part time working is supported at all levels.
