Consultant in Clinical Oncology (Skin and Breast Malignancies)

About this role

This post will be clinically responsible for the care of patients with skin and breast cancer within UHS and across the wider region. A post holder with suitable training and enthusiasm would also have the opportunity to join the oligometastatic SABR service.

Duties will include

Attending the weekly UHS Skin and Breast MDT and clinics Planning and supervising radiotherapy for Skin and Breast cancer patients Planning and supervising Systemic Anti Cancer Therapy for Skin +/- Breast cancer patients Engaging in Radiotherapy Peer review meetings Teaching and training specialist trainees in Clinical Oncology and the wider multidisciplinary team Actively engaging in the management of, recruitment in to and running of clinical trials The role includes participation in an on call rota for the management of Clinical Oncology patients out of hours, providing advice during evenings and undertaking daily ward rounds during weekends and Bank Holidays (1:20) Individuals wishing to apply must be registered with the General Medical Council (GMC). The successful candidate will be employed under the terms and conditions of service for Consultants (England) 2003.
