We have a vacancy for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our team at our impressive, purpose-built school in Deepcut. Teaching Assistant (1

1 support for pupils with extremely complex medical needs) will be a vital part of the class team and will be expected to support the Class Teacher and Senior Teaching Assistant to deliver the curriculum to support pupils' learning.

It would suit a colleague with experience working with children with significant medical or developmental needs, confidence in managing medical emergencies and some experience in supporting or assisting with tracheostomy or ventilator care

Staff are expected to support pupils' learning within the school environment including in the classroom, hydrotherapy pool, main hall and the sensory studio; in addition to supporting learning which takes place off site at places within the community. The role is a twelve-month fixed term contract (term time only, 29.75 hours per week, 39 weeks per year).Further Details of the role are included in the attached job description.We welcome visits - if you would like to make an appointment please contact the school office.Our May 2023 Ofsted inspection noted that “During the inspection, one member of staff captured the views of many. Salary is based on Surrey Pay PS5 (£27,634 - £29,604 Full Time Equivalent)Actual/pro-rata salary is £19,646 - £21,046 (29.75 hours per week, 39 weeks per year)Note that the Surrey Pay annual increase for 2026 will be added to the above salary when it has been agreed.

Working Hours are Mon-Fri 8

50am-3:20pm, term time only.

There are also further opportunities to work additional hours at our established After School Club.
