Cleaner

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and conscientious Cleaner to join our friendly team at our day nursery.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for the children, staff, and visitors. Experience working in a nursery, school, or other childcare setting is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and maintain all areas of the nursery to a high standard.

Clean classrooms, playrooms, toilets, kitchen areas, staff areas, and communal spaces.

Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and sanitise surfaces as required.

Ensure high-touch areas and frequently used equipment are cleaned regularly.

Safely handle and store cleaning products in accordance with nursery procedures.

Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.

Maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control.

Report any maintenance, safety, or cleaning issues to the Nursery Manager.

Follow all nursery health and safety, safeguarding, and hygiene policies.

Ensure cleaning duties are completed efficiently and within the agreed timeframes.
