Nurture Teacher (SEND)

We are recruiting a Qualified Nurture Teacher to join our secondary SEND school. This role is ideal for educators specialising in Autism (ASC), Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), and Special Educational Needs (SEND).

Responsibilities and Duties
As a Nurture Teacher, you will deliver a differentiated National Curriculum tailored to students aged 11-16 with complex needs.

Specialist Teaching
Deliver high-quality lessons focusing on social communication, emotional regulation, and sensory processing.

Individualised Learning
Create and monitor personalised learning targets and contribute to EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) reviews.

Collaborative Practice
Partner with the intervention team to provide a holistic educational experience.

Behaviour Support
Implement non-confrontational behaviour management strategies in line with school policy.
Candidate Requirements (QTS Essential)
We are seeking an ambitious teacher who meets the following criteria

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
This is an essential requirement for the role and the bonus.

SEND Experience
Proven experience teaching in special school settings or working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

Curriculum Knowledge
Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and the ability to adapt it for learners with complex needs.

SEMH Awareness
A deep understanding of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health challenges and their impact on learning.
