** Background
This permanent full-time Career Transformation Programme Lecturer Consultant position sits within The School of Policy and Global affairs and works closely with the Careers & Employability Directorate and its purpose is to make a significant contribution to the Careers Transformation Programme, City St George’s institutional commitment to embedding employability across the taught postgraduate course portfolio. Specifically, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of an interdisciplinary employability education module in the curriculum of taught postgraduate courses in all Schools except for Bayes Business School.
** Responsibilities
A key aspect of the post will be working closely with academic colleagues across multiple Schools to understand and support their students’ career readiness and aspirations. You will apply pedagogical approaches to employability, deliver lectures to large student groups, and use learning design principles to create engaging, impactful content. You will also administer the academic processes which support effective assessment of students’ learning. Supporting students to develop their career plans will also be an important part of your work.
** Person Specification
We welcome applicants with experience in academic roles who have an understanding of good curriculum and module design principles, and enhancing academic programmes to improve efficacy and to better align their programmes to institutional priorities. We also seek candidates who have strong knowledge of the UK graduate labour market and working in an employability-related role, and thus bring knowledge of employability learning in a Higher Education context. Strong project management and interpersonal skills are also sought for this post.
