A highly regarded specialist provision in South‑East London is seeking an experienced Primary SEN Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a full‑time, long‑term role working Monday to Friday, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs within a nurturing, structured environment.

The Role

You will teach across the primary phase within small, well‑supported classes. Lessons are highly differentiated, structured, and designed to meet the individual needs of pupils with autism and other complex learning profiles.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Delivering engaging, accessible primary curriculum lessons
  • Adapting teaching to meet a wide range of SEN needs
  • Working closely with support staff and therapists
  • Creating a calm, predictable classroom environment
  • Supporting pupils' communication, independence, and emotional regulation

This role suits a teacher who is patient, consistent, creative, and confident working within a specialist setting.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Previous SEN teaching experience (not suitable for ECTs)
  • Strong experience supporting autistic learners
  • Confident delivering differentiated primary curriculum
  • Fluent English (mother tongue or equivalent level)
  • Ability to work collaboratively across classes and small groups
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Contract & Pay

  • Long‑term role starting September 2026
  • Full‑time (Monday-Friday)
