Complex Psychosis Team Manager | West London NHS Trust

About this role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to provide senior leadership and support the development of a newly forming Complex Psychosis team in the Borough of Hounslow as team manager, bringing together the existing Community Rehabilitation Service and new investment for service users who need an assertive approach to engagement as part of their clinical presentation.

Successful candidates will show significant knowledge and experience of the clinical, policy and legislative frameworks that support the care of people experiencing psychosis with complex needs. They will also be able to demonstrate clinical leadership and operational management experience within a multi-disciplinary team setting; taking responsibility for the delivery of high quality care in line with key performance indicators, supporting the response to governance requirements and shaping the team to develop and change in line with emerging Borough, Trust or National policy and guidance.

West London NHS Trust Local Services have recently moved to a Borough-based structure and as part of the Borough Management team, this role is key in shaping the service development, governance and care delivery within the Hounslow Complex Psychosis Team as well as contributing to the overarching management of care for Trust services within Hounslow.

Team Managers play critical roles in providing operational management, leadership and accountability within their team. They support the lead practitioners and professional leads to ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical care across the multi-disciplinary team, while supporting effective clinical governance and managing fiscal responsibilities. They lead on the development of the team with emerging national and trust guidance, together with support from the Specialist Services Service Manager.

Key to the success of the role will be establishing and maintaining relationships internally with other Trust teams in Hounslow as well as externally within the local primary care networks, adult social care, and other teams and services within local communities and VCSE providers. The Team Manager will be expected to participate in and support the maintenance of new and existing relationships across the health and social care system.

We are seeking to recruit a high calibre manager with excellent communication skills; a clear commitment to delivering patient-centred quality care to a population with complex clinical needs, and a track record of delivering performance targets. The successful candidate will need to be resilient, provide a positive and motivating role model to their team, and have the skills to deliver priorities in a changing environment.
