We are looking for an inspired individual with Oncology and Surgical experience to lead our Smithfield Level 2 Ward within the St. Bartholomew’s Hospital Breast Cancer Centre of Excellence The job will be suitable for senior nurses looking to advance their leadership and managerial career. The job offers the unique opportunity to bring your expertise to ensure safe and compassionate patient experience whilst maximising our capacity utilisation through innovative ways.

You will work alongside the Senior Nursing Team and lead your team of junior sister and charge nurses, staff nurses, nursing associates and healthcare support workers to deliver high quality care in our 11 bedded Breast Surgery Ward.

You will have the opportunity to ensure patients receive high quality care whilst also ensuring the smooth daily patient flow through the 2ndfloor. The post holder will pro-actively lead and manage the nursing team and help the team to achieve their aspirations through audit and quality improvement intitatives. The post holder will actively contribute to realise the service vision and key targets by working closely with the service leads. The ward manager will partner with the peers to drive incremental innovation to achieve safe and compassionate patient experience
