Our client, a recognised and reputable main dealer in Northampton, is seeking an experienced Parts Advisor to join their busy and dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to operate within a fast-paced, multi-brand environment, supporting workshop, trade, and retail customers.

Parts Advisor

  • Competitive basic salary of £30,000 plus monthly bonus based on department profit

Duties

  • Assist workshop technicians, trade customers, and retail clients with parts enquiries
  • Identify, source, and efficiently order the correct parts
  • Process parts orders, invoices, returns, and credits with accuracy
  • Use dealership and parts management systems to manage stock and orders
  • Liaise with suppliers, monitor outstanding orders, and track deliveries
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure the parts department is organised
  • Handle counter sales, providing excellent customer service
  • Collaborate closely with the workshop team to ensure parts are available when needed
  • Manage multiple enquiries and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Support the wider parts team to ensure smooth operational workflows

Requirements for the

Parts Advisor position

  • Previous experience as a Parts Advisor within the automotive sector
  • Familiarity with automotive parts, dealership, or stock management systems is a strong advantage
  • Computer literate; confident in learning new systems
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and well-organised approach to work
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment
  • Full UK driving licence
