Band 5/6 Radiographer Preceptorship

To undertake radiographic examinations using analytical, judgemental and physical skills to achieve the appropriate high quality image. To liaise with referrers and service users to maintain an efficient service. To assist referring Emergency Nurse Practitioners in the Minor Injury Unit by employing the Red Dot Scheme for identifying abnormal appearances on x-ray images. To use the CRIS radiology information system for patient management, data collection and storage. To use PACS for data management and storage. The information on both these systems is shared with other sites. To be aware of the Trusts emergency planning processes and follow such processes as necessary in the event of a sudden unexpected incident. To work with the Radiology Team Lead to ensure the day to day smooth running of the department including absence cover. To take responsibility for Health & Safety issues and reporting within the department. To undertake training as necessary in line with development of the post. To participate fully in the development review (appraisal) process and undertake Continuing Professional Development as required. To participate in the out of hours radiographer rota at UckfieldCommunity Hospital.
