Interim Project Manager x 2 | Croydon Health Services NHS Trust

About this role

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust is seeking two experienced Interim Project Managers (Band 8a) to support delivery of key transformation priorities across the organisation.

This is a fast‑paced role suited to individuals who can hit the ground running, working across complex programmes such as digital enablement, cost improvement programmes (CIP), and wider service transformation.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across clinical, operational and corporate services, requiring an excellent standard of communication in all formats (written, verbal and presentation).

You will be able to distil complex information into clear, tailored messaging for different audiences, supporting understanding and engagement at all levels.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading delivery of priority projects across transformation, digital and/or CIP programmes
  • Liaising with and influencing senior stakeholders across the Trust
  • Communicating complex information clearly, adapting style and messaging to different audiences
  • Working across planned and unplanned care pathways
  • Building strong, credible relationships with clinical, operational and finance colleagues
  • Supporting delivery through influence, engagement and collaboration (not authority alone)
  • Managing risks, issues and dependencies in a complex NHS environment

What we’relooking for

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within NHS Acute hospitals at Band 8a level or equivalent
  • Strong track record in digital transformation, CIP or service redesign
  • Ability to communicate with clarity and impact, including simplifying complex information for a range of stakeholders
  • Experience working with and presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of NHS priorities and direction of travel
  • Able to operate independently and deliver at pace
  • Skilled in managing challenge and difficult conversations constructively
  • Ability to quickly build trust, credibility and effective relationships

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust provides hospital and community services across Croydon through a range of clinics and specialist centres. Formed in August 2010 from the integration of Croydon Community Health Services and Mayday Healthcare NHS Trust, we employ around 4,100 staff serving a diverse population of over 360,000 people.

Our main site, Croydon University Hospital, is one of the busiest in London. We are also leading the way in delivering more healthcare in community settings and people’s homes. Our district nursing teams, Allied Health Professionals and community matrons care for people of all ages across the borough.

Like the wider NHS, we are working hard to meet increasing demand. With the right people on board, we continue to innovate and transform our services to provide the highest quality care for local residents. We place strong emphasis on education, training and career development for all staff.

If you want to make a real difference, challenge yourself and be part of a Trust that’s shaping local healthcare, Croydon Health Services could be the place for you.

At Croydon Health Services NHS Trust, we are committed to supporting flexible working arrangements. Applicants are encouraged to discuss any flexibility they may need during the recruitment process.
