About this role
A core focus of the role is developing insight from service data and using that insight to support teams to plan, deliver, and refine changes. You will help establish and maintain a continuous improvement approach by analysing performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities, and working collaboratively with teams to agree priorities and improvement actions. This includes supporting the development of continuous improvement strategies that link service objectives, performance measures, and user needs, ensuring analysis leads to meaningful change rather than static reporting.
You will contribute to the design and development of dashboards, reports, and analytical narratives that support decision‑making and iterative service development. Working with guidance from more experienced analysts, you will apply appropriate analytical techniques, bring together multiple data sources, and clearly communicate findings to a range of audiences.
As Performance Analyst, you will work closely with product managers, delivery teams, and stakeholders to embed a sustainable performance and improvement cycle within live services.
You will spend a significant amount of time developing and supporting services. You will help to plan and ensure project delivery, finding opportunities to share information with the project team, community colleagues and others. You will involve teams in analytics to increase consensus and challenge others.
You will be engaged with, and actively contribute to, the Performance Analysis community and be comfortable with mentoring to upskill junior staff.
Key responsibilities
Developing performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for services, building dashboards and providing in depth reports to communicate key metrics.
Collecting, collating, cleansing and interpreting data to derive meaningful and actionable insights.
Applying the most appropriate analytical techniques to bring different sources together to tell a story.
Delivering high-quality analysis that provides meaningful and actionable insights to improve a service, proactively offering suggestions of ways to improve the service.
Analysing performance in a given area and helping the project team measure and assess outcomes.
Tracking / measuring user behaviour and using data to inform iterative service changes.
