Role Overview
We are recruiting a Senior Mobile Supervisor to lead mobile and out‑of‑hours security operations across TfL corporate and commercial buildings in Central London. You'll be the key link between Mitie, TfL management, control centres and on‑site teams—ensuring consistently high standards of safety, compliance, welfare and customer service.
This is a mobile role using a company vehicle and, when required, London Transport (travel card provided). You must be adaptable, confident making decisions independently, and able to develop, test and support teams across the portfolio. The role also includes HR/incident investigations and producing timely, high‑quality reports for the client.
Recruitment is focused on
-Day or Night role with the flexibility to cover days or nights when required
-Mandatory role will require weekends and bank holiday working.
-Post holder must hold a clean driving licence
-Post holder will need to pass Police vetting to NVPP1 within three months
Key Responsibilities
-Act as the primary out‑of‑hours security lead between Mitie and TfL Management team
-Provide immediate mobile response to incidents, escalations, and short‑notice cover, while also ensuring Mobile reports and Incident reports are completed and sent before the end of each duty without fail.
-Supervise and support Security Officers, supervisors and receptionist through training and testing, audits, inspections, monitoring and welfare visits and reports.
-Ensure full understanding and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Assignment Instructions (AI's) and risk assessments (RA's), plus any other toolbox talks, memo that are passed.
-The post holder will need to understand the escalate process for Priority 1-4 and who needs to be called and updated (training will be provided)
-Post holders should have experience using a reporting system. Mitie use Merlin, training will be provided, it is mandatory that this post holder once trained is able to use this system as it forms a vital part of the SMS role.
-Post Holder needs to have at least 6 months experience using scheduling systems as there is a requirement for systems to be updated out of hours when the full time scheduler is not at work.
-Post Holder must support scheduling and roster management, ensuring adequate staffing levels and arranging cover in the event of any issues or staff shortages

-Post Holder must be able to write reports to a high level as these will be sent to the client to act upon
-Post Holder will be required to carry out patrols (internal and external) of all our unmanned buildings and check that manned building patrols have been completed
-Post Holder must have experiencer of carrying out health & safety inspections, audits, and dynamic risk assessments.
-Post Holder should have or be able to complete and pass IOSH managing safely within 3 months
-Monitor lone workers, investigate missed check calls, and prioritise officer welfare
-Monitor threat levels including protests, demonstrations, and union activity
-Liaise with Emergency Services and support incidents through to resolution
-Ensure training records, fire tests, patrol records, and compliance documentation are completed accurately and on time
-Maintain GDPR‑compliant handling of CCTV and sensitive data
-Conduct daily vehicle checks at the start of a duty and at the end of the duty to ensure your safety and that of colleagues about to use the vehicle. All SMS's are to always ensure compliance with FORS and driver safety requirements.
-Post Holder must ensure vehicles are properly maintained, kept clean, and any defects or issues are reported promptly in line with company procedures
-Provide immediate mobile response to incidents, escalations, and short notice cover, including covering positions directly where required to maintain service continuity and operational standards.
-Identify operational improvements and escalate opportunities to the your line manager and the contract Account Manager.
-Post Holder must have experience carrying out Investigations into any reports of poor service and able to complete an investigation pack to take forward any case for formal action (if necessary)
-Post Holder must have experience of carrying out investigations and able to write a full investigatory report for the client to act upon.
Candidate Requirements
-Minimum 1 year proven experience at Security Supervisor level
-Valid UK driving licence (minimum 1 year)
-Frontline SIA Licence (mandatory). DS preferred
-Post holder should have or able to complete and pass IOSH managing safely within 3 months
-Post holder should have or able to pass First Aid at work (3 day course) and pass, within 3 months of starting. It is a contract requirement with our client that all hourly paid staff have this first aid qualification
-CCTV Licence (mandatory) or proof that you are in the process to obtain (within 3 months)
-Ability to pass Police Vetting (NPPV Level 1) within 3 months (mandatory)
-Post holder needs at least 12 months experience using Fire Systems, this includes carrying out weekly fire tests, pre-alarms, fire investigations, resetting systems, and if necessary, isolations. So long as the post holder has this experience, we will train the Post Holder on the 10 different fire systems across the portfolio.
-First Aid at work (3 day course) to have or be completed and passed within 3 months.
-Post holder must have very clear verbal communication. During an incident you will be updating the client direct, Mitie senior managers and the emergency services.
-Must be confident working independently during high level situations and experience of leading teams.
-Proven experience understanding and managing access control across a large estate
