This job has a fixed two year contract, which is renewable after the first year
depending on a satisfactory report from the selected education provider and the
Lead Pharmacy Technician - Education and Training for Royal Free London
NHS Foundation Trust. The candidate is expected to meet the requirements of
learning agreements which will be signed, and agreed, by the trainee, the
education provider and the workplace.
The training will provide the post holder with the required knowledge, skills and
behaviour necessary to complete the Pharmacy Technician Training Programme
via distance learning and on site practical experience. Successful completion of
qualification will enable the candidate to register with the General
Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and practice as a qualified Pharmacy
Technician within the United Kingdom.
The post holder will consistently work in an accurate, effective and efficient
manner to support the provision of a high quality service to patients, trust staff
and departments. They will be part of a high performing team that is expected to
demonstrate the Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust values. This means that in
undertaking this role the post holder is expected at all times to behave in a way
that demonstrates commitment to the delivery of respectful and compassionate
care.
The post-holder must always carry out their role in line with the Trust World Class
values.
The candidate is expected to maintain sufficient progress and meet the requirements of learning agreements which will be signed and agreed, by the trainee, the educational provider and the workplace.
Rotations will allow training, experience, competency assessment in many aspects of hospital pharmacy under the supervision of registered pharmacy technicians and pharmacists.
