Retail Security Officer

Responsible for maintaining the safety and security of staff, customers, contractors, and company property within a busy retail and cash & carry environment. Duties include conducting regular patrols of the premises, preventing theft, handling suspicious activity, and ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

The role involves providing a visible security presence across the warehouse, shop floor, loading bays, and customer areas, while assisting with opening and closing procedures, access control, and emergency response situations when required. Security officers are also expected to support staff with conflict management, monitor deliveries and stock movements, complete incident reports accurately, and liaise with management and emergency services when necessary.

Strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential due to the fast-paced nature of the site and high volume of customer traffic. The position also requires delivering excellent customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment for both employees and visitors.
