Our Vacancy is for a

Full Time Permanent Neuro Rehabilitation Assistant – Band 3, 37.5 hours per week.

This is an ideal post for an experienced Band 3 Rehabilitation Assistant looking to further develop their neurological rehabilitation skills or someone already working within a health or social care setting looking for a new challenge.

This job will allow the successful applicant to work within a specialist neurological service with patients with a variety of neurological conditions. They will be able to work in collaboration with a variety of clinical specialists within the team alongside other rehabilitation assistants.

Within the team there is a strong focus on personal and service development, and you will be given opportunities to participate in in-service training programme and external training where appropriate.

The Hounslow Community Neuro Rehab Team (CNRT) is a client-centred, integrated multi-disciplinary team comprising of an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, a Neuro Psychologist, a Pharmacist, a Specialist Nurse practitioner, an Occupational Therapy Assistant and Rehab assistants.

The Neuro-rehab teamworks across both intensive short-term rehab and longer-term rehab pathways. There are opportunities to develop skills in rapid assessment and facilitating discharge from hospital, long term condition management and specialist neuro-rehab.

This role provides the opportunity to work across both rehabilitation pathways within the service, with both Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. This role involves providing therapy for patients within their own home environments as well as the local community. There will be expectations for lone working and independent monitoring of patients progress with timely feedback to the MDT.
