About you

The Trauma & Orthopaedic Department at Hillingdon Hospital, are looking to recruit a Qualified Plaster Technician. With experience in all plastering techiques and possession of the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) Casting Certificate. With expectation to work in all areas of Fracture, Orthopaedic and Specialist Paediatric Clinic. The departments also attends ED, Wards and Theatres as requested.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work as a Trained Orthopaedic Technicians within a team of technicians delivering a service to Trauma and Orthopaedics, A&E, UCC, Wards, Theatres and other departments across the Trust.
  • Your will provide direct and indirect care at a high level for patients in the Fracture/Orthopaedic/Paediatric Clinics, Wards/Theatres and other areas of the Trust.

Essential Qualifications

We are looking for a

Orthopaedic Practitioner with

  • BOA Casting Certificate with evidence of CPPD and up to date registration.
  • Good general education to include Numeracy, Literacy and ICT (GCSE AC or equivalent)
  • Evidence of research-based practice. Focus Rigidity Casting (BOA accredited)
  • Full UK right to work
