Job Description

I am a disabled employer living independently in Salford and am looking for reliable, respectful Personal Care Assistants to support me in my own home and in the community.

This role is about supporting independence, not “doing for”. You will work as part of a small, friendly team, sometimes alongside other assistants and sometimes on your own.

Roles and Responsibilities

Personal Care

• Support with daily personal care routines (including toileting and continence support)
• Assistance with washing, dressing, and getting ready for the day or night
• Support provided in line with my preferences and routines, with dignity and respect at all times

Daily Living Support

• Help with meals and drinks (preparation and light kitchen tasks)
• Assistance with household tasks related to my care
• Support with medication prompts (where required)

Mobility & Access

• Assistance with transfers and mobility
• Support using mobility equipment (training provided)
• Supporting safe access in and out of the home and community spaces

Social & Community Support

• Supporting me to attend appointments, activities, rehearsals, or social events
• Enabling participation in community life, work, and creative activities

General

• Following instructions and support plans agreed with me
• Communicating clearly and honestly
• Respecting confidentiality and professional boundaries
