Following a successful funding bid, Melrose School is launching a brand-new, purpose-built Construction Centre! We are looking for a skilled and motivated Construction Teaching Assistant to help our students turn their potential into professional trades.
The role
Working at our specialised site in Mitcham, you will support the Construction Teacher in delivering BTEC Level 1 courses to Key Stage 4 students. This is a hands-on role where you will demonstrate trade skills, supervise tool use, and mentor students who have experienced barriers to learning in mainstream education.

Candidates should have
- You have a solid background in construction (carpentry, plumbing, or general building).
- You are resilient, patient, and passionate about supporting young people with SEN needs
- You are committed to safety and can maintain an orderly, professional workshop environment.
