We are seeking a HSEQ Business Partner to support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety, environmental and quality management systems, in line with the OneISS Way.
Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, this role plays a key part in embedding a strong safety, compliance and quality culture across operations.
Job Description
We are looking for an individual who will provide expert HSEQ guidance, partner closely with operational and client teams, and proactively manage risk.
Through audits, incident investigation and continuous improvement activity, the HSEQ Business Partner will directly contribute to service excellence and reinforce ISS’ reputation for dependable, high-quality, safety-focused facilities support.
Key Responsibilities
Provide practical, proactive HSEQ support enabling teams to work safely, efficiently and in line with required standards.
Act as a trusted partner to regional accounts, coaching and mentoring teams on HSEQ matters.
Promote clear ownership and accountability for HSEQ activities across all stakeholders.
Collaborate with client counterparts to ensure HSEQ processes meet expectations and internal standards.
Understand contract risk profiles and proactively manage significant hazards, including statutory compliance, food safety and projects.
Conduct risk-based audits against the OneISS Way to drive continuous improvement.
Lead investigations for high-severity incidents and provide governance oversight for lower-level incidents.
Champion ISS HSEQ campaigns, including Safe Spaces and Wellbeing initiatives, to improve engagement and outcomes.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Skills,
Knowledge and Experience
Previous HSEQ experience within a matrix model (desirable).
Previous experience within Facilities Management (desirable).
Strong knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) and auditing practices.
Understanding of statutory compliance, food safety and operational risk management (desirable).
Experience in incident investigation and applying proportionate governance.
Proven ability to identify, assess and manage risk and influence operational decision-making.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to collaborate across regions and functions and work effectively as part of a team.
Qualifications & Requirements
NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel to client sites (car/car allowance).
