Room Leader – Pre-School Room

£32,800 per annum | 40 hours per week | All Year Round

Be part of a warm and welcoming nursery based in a charming converted building, featuring spacious rooms and a beautiful garden designed to inspire exploration and play.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Room Leader to lead a pre-school room, supporting children as they develop confidence, independence, and key skills for their transition to school. The setting promotes curiosity and creativity through a play-based approach to learning.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 Early Years qualification – essential
• Proven experience as a Room Leader – essential
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
• A nurturing, caring approach to childcare
• Confident leadership skills with the ability to support and guide a team
• Strong communication skills when working with families and colleagues
• Passion for supporting children’s development and school readiness

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the pre-school room and ensuring high-quality care and education
• Planning and delivering engaging, play-based activities in line with EYFS
• Supporting children’s development, independence, and school readiness
• Creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment
• Building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Monitoring and tracking children’s progress
• Supporting and guiding team members within the room
• Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety standards are consistently met
