The nursery has been thoughtfully designed to support children at every stage of their development, creating a calm, nurturing space where curiosity and creativity can flourish.

This role presents a great opportunity for an experienced early years professional to step into a Third in Charge position, playing a key role in supporting the leadership team and maintaining high standards across the setting. You will be instrumental in helping to shape daily practice, support staff development, and ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for children and families.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 Early Years qualification – essential
• Previous experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner – essential
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
• A nurturing, caring approach to childcare
• Confident leadership skills with the ability to support and motivate a team
• Strong communication skills when working with families and colleagues
• Passion for delivering high-quality early years care and education

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the Nursery Manager and Deputy in the day-to-day running of the setting
• Acting as a role model for best practice across the nursery
• Supporting the delivery of high-quality care and education in line with EYFS
• Leading practice within rooms and supporting team performance
• Building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Monitoring children’s development and supporting staff with observations
• Assisting with safeguarding, compliance, and operational standards
• Stepping into leadership responsibilities in the absence of senior management
