Have you recently completed a Psychology degree and want to gain meaningful, hands-on experience working with young people?

Or perhaps you're exploring a future career in mental health, education, therapy, or SEN support and want to build your confidence in a real-world environment?

We're working with welcoming and supportive SEN schools across Fareham that are looking for Psychology Graduates to join their teams from September.

This role is ideal for graduates who are passionate about supporting children and making a genuine impact every day.

You don't need to have worked in a classroom before to apply.

Schools are looking for individuals with empathy, patience, emotional intelligence, and a willingness to learn. If you can build positive relationships and remain calm under pressure, you could be a fantastic fit for these roles.

We'll provide training, support, and guidance to help you feel prepared before you start.

  • Supporting children and young people with additional learning and emotional needs
  • Working alongside teachers and SEN staff within the classroom

Providing 1

1 support and small group interventions

  • Encouraging confidence, communication, and engagement
  • Supporting students with SEMH, autism, ADHD, and associated needs
  • Helping create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment

This is a fantastic stepping stone for graduates wanting to gain relevant experience before progressing into careers such as:

  • Educational Psychology
  • Clinical Psychology

  • SEN Teaching
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Youth Support and Pastoral Care

You'll develop practical skills in behaviour support, emotional regulation, communication, and trauma-informed approaches - all highly valuable within education and mental health sectors.

  • A Psychology graduate or final-year student
  • Interested in child psychology, behaviour, or mental health

  • Full-time opportunities available from September
  • Weekly PAYE pay starting from £100 per day
  • Free CPD and specialist SEN training
  • Experience days and school visits before placement
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant
  • Opportunities to progress into permanent school roles
