Your new role

As Head of Site Services & SHE, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and delivering the strategy across facilities, sustainability, and Safety, Health & Environment (SHE). You will be responsible for driving operational excellence across the site while ensuring a safe, compliant, and future-ready workplace.

Key responsibilities include

  • Strategic leadership - Define and deliver site services and workplace strategy aligned to both local and global objectives
  • Compliance & governance - Ensure adherence to SHE regulations and maintain ISO standards (14001 & 45001), alongside robust business continuity and emergency planning
  • Operations & maintenance - Oversee site infrastructure, including maintenance strategy, life cycle asset management, and performance KPIs
  • Team leadership - Develop and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder engagement - Build strong relationships internally and externally, putting customers and site users at the centre of decision-making
  • Security oversight - Manage and enhance physical, personnel, and information security frameworks

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership capability, and strategic thinking:

  • Strong background in facilities management, including HVAC, building systems, electrical and maintenance
  • Proven experience in SHE, sustainability, and compliance frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale projects, budgets, and vendor management
  • Experience building and leading high-performing, multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience), with IWFM or equivalent professional qualification preferred
