Academic Mentor

A welcoming and inclusive school in Hounslow is seeking a full-time Academic Mentor to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who enjoys working closely with students and is considering a future career in teaching.

As an Academic Mentor, you will provide targeted support to students who need additional help to reach their academic goals.

Working 1

1 and with small groups, you will help reinforce key concepts, build confidence, and develop effective study habits. You may support students in core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science, depending on your academic background and the needs of the school.

This role is particularly well suited to aspiring teachers, educational psychologists, or graduates interested in working with young people.

The ideal Academic Mentor will be enthusiastic, patient, and committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning. Previous experience tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or working with children and young people would be highly beneficial.
