Healthcare Assistant

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital part in delivering highquality clinical and personal care to patients under the supervision of Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals. Your work will help maintain patient comfort, dignity, and safety at all times. You will contribute to a wide range of clinical activities, including: Supporting the planning and delivery of individualised, evidencebased patient care Taking and recording patient observations, including vital signs, ECGs, venepuncture and cannulation (with training and competency evidence) Assisting with surgical admissions, theatre preparation, postoperative care, and patient discharge Providing personal care such as bathing, feeding, and supporting activities of daily living Maintaining a safe, clean environment and adhering to Infection Prevention and Control standards Escorting patients to other departments or hospitals as required Completing accurate nursing documentation in line with hospital policies You will also undertake daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks and support the operational management of the ward when required.
