To be confirmedWilliam Booth College is seeking reliable and motivated Relief Hospitality Assistants to join our hospitality and housekeeping team on a flexible, casual basis.William Booth College is an iconic building designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and has been at the heart of The Salvation Army leadership training since 1929. We provide residential accommodation, meeting facilities, hospitality, and catering services to The Salvation Army and external groups from across the United Kingdom and beyond.

Job Summary and Key Responsibilities

As a Relief Hospitality Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operation of the college by helping to maintain a clean, safe, welcoming, and professional environment for guests, visitors, residents, and staff.

Duties may include

Cleaning bedrooms, meeting rooms, offices, and public areasVacuuming, mopping, dusting, washroom cleaning, and waste disposalSetting up meeting and conference roomsSupporting hospitality and catering servicesPreparing and serving hot and cold beveragesSupporting events and conferences taking place within the collegeMaintaining vending machines and service areasReporting maintenance or health and safety concernsWorking alongside reception, catering, and maintenance teams

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for individuals who:Have previous cleaning, housekeeping, hospitality, or customer service experienceHave a positive “can do” attitudeCan work independently and as part of a teamHave good communication and customer service skillsAre flexible and reliableAre able to undertake physical duties including lifting, moving equipment, and climbing stairsAre willing to work within and be sympathetic to the Christian ethos and values of The Salvation ArmyExperience within hotels, conference venues, or hospitality environments would be an advantage.
