Sea and Air Freight Operator – Greenford, London

Are you an experienced Sea and Air Freight Operator looking for a fresh challenge with a growing global business?

Sea Air and Land Forwarding is seeking to recruit a Sea and Air Freight Operator to join our operations team based in Greenford, London.

This is a full-time, office-based role where you will manage day-to-day sea and air freight import and export shipments, liaise with clients and agents, provide shipment updates, issue and monitor relevant transport and clearance documents, and help ensure the smooth and timely movement of goods.

You will play an important role within the business, providing excellent customer service, maintaining high operational standards, and supporting the efficient handling of sea and air freight shipments.

Key Responsibilities

Handle day-to-day sea and air freight import and export shipments.

Coordinate bookings with customers, agents, airlines, shipping lines, and business partners.

Issue and monitor transport, customs, and clearance documentation.

Keep clients updated on the status of their shipments.

Troubleshoot shipment issues and help resolve delays where possible.

Communicate with agents, airline carriers, shipping carriers, customs bodies, and internal teams.

Prepare rate offers for customers and partners where applicable.

Ensure shipments are handled in line with company procedures and compliance requirements.

Desired Skills and Experience

Experience in sea and air freight import or export operations.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Good knowledge of sea and air freight documentation and shipment handling.

Ideally educated to degree level, although relevant industry experience is equally valued.

Location

This is an office-based role at our Greenford, London office. Candidates living within approximately 10–12 miles of the area would be preferred.
