An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified Early Years SEN Teacher to join a large and well-respected SEN school in Enfield As soon as posible / September
The school has multiple sites across Enfield and Edmonton, with this particular role based at their primary site, working with pupils who are aged around 10 but learning at an earlier developmental level. The class includes children with attention needs, autism, and sensory processing differences, so the school is looking for a calm, creative, and nurturing teacher who can deliver a sensory-based and engaging curriculum.

The Enfield primary site features modern classrooms, sensory rooms, outdoor learning spaces, and strong multidisciplinary support, including speech and language therapy and occupational therapy teams.

The Role
- Teach a small class of pupils (around 6) aged approximately 10 years, working at EYFS/Key Stage 1 levels
- Deliver a sensory-based curriculum focused on communication, social skills, and emotional development
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and the wider SEN team
- Use, or be willing to learn, AAC systems such as Makaton, PECS, and visual timetables
- Plan creative and differentiated activities that encourage engagement and independence
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Primary or Early Years trained
- Experience supporting pupils with ASD and/or sensory needs in either mainstream or specialist settings
- A patient and compassionate teacher with a genuine passion for SEN education
- Able to commit to a long-term role, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate
