Full Time | Term Time Only | Immediate Start
Up to £115 per day | Long Term Role
Long Term Futures are recruiting a resilient and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Barnet, supporting a Lower KS2 pupil with Autism (ASD).
This is a rewarding long-term opportunity for someone experienced in supporting children with additional needs, particularly pupils who may demonstrate challenging behaviour. The school is seeking a calm, patient and consistent individual who can build a strong relationship with the child and provide structured support throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities

Provide dedicated 1
1 support for a Lower KS2 pupil with ASD
- Support the pupil with learning, emotional regulation and engagement
- Implement behaviour support strategies and structured routines
- Work closely with teachers, SEN staff and therapists
- Support the child during lessons, transitions and unstructured times
- Promote positive behaviour, safety and inclusion
Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience supporting children with ASD and challenging behaviour
- A resilient, calm and consistent approach
- Confidence working within a specialist SEN school environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies
- Restraint training or de-escalation training (desirable)
