About this role
To provide a consultant-led specialist oral health care service for patients referred to the Oral Surgery department. To participate in clinical and other service activities with the objective of ensuring a high standard of patient care including a significant contribution to gathering data to demonstrate outcomes for our patients at Trust, local and national levels. To provide dental care for patients on the department of Oral Surgery requiring specialist services under local anaesthetic, sedation and general anaesthesia. Have a role supervising specialty dentists in addition to an active role in the clinical supervision, training and education of other junior staff including Dental Core Trainees and Speciality Trainees Contribute to the clinical supervision of undergraduates and to assist delivery of courses throughout the BDS programme Have a key role in the Quality Improvement activity of the department Participate in training and education of postgraduates Contribute to the development and management of clinical services Ensure that referral to treatment times for patients comply with the requirements of the Department of Health.
