About this role
A Vacancy at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The Strategic Finance team at UCLH is looking for an enthusiastic and analytically minded finance professional to join the team as a Finance Business Partner – Capital Projects and Planning. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the centre of a large and complex capital programme supporting a wide range of strategic, digital and estates projects across one of the UK’s leading NHS trusts.
The role will support delivery of the Trust’s capital programme through financial planning, business case development, financial modelling and programme reporting. Working closely with project managers, operational teams and senior finance colleagues, you will help ensure that investment decisions are financially robust, strategically aligned and supported by strong governance.
This role would suit someone with strong analytical skills, experience working in a complex finance environment and an interest in capital investment, project finance and strategic transformation. You will join a collaborative and supportive team with opportunities to work on high-profile projects and develop expertise across business partnering, capital planning and financial analysis.
The post holder will support the financial management and governance of UCLH’s capital programme and strategic projects. This will include supporting the development and review of business cases, undertaking financial modelling and scenario analysis, monitoring project budgets and forecasts, and producing clear financial reporting for senior stakeholders and governance committees.
The role will work closely with project and programme leads across estates, digital and operational services to provide financial advice and challenge throughout the lifecycle of capital schemes. The post holder will also support capital planning processes, analyse investment proposals, identify financial risks and contribute to papers for governance groups including the Project Approval Group (PAG) and Capital Investment Board (CIB).
The successful candidate will need strong organisational and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and confidence working with both finance and non-finance stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
