Company Overview
We are currently looking for experienced Groundworkers to join our growing team on the HS2 high-speed rail project in the Banbury area. This is a long-term opportunity to work on one of the UK's most important infrastructure developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out a range of groundwork duties including drainage, kerbing, slabbing, concreting, and ducting.
- Trenching and reinstatement works.
- Working safely around live services and in accordance with site safety protocols.
- Assisting with setting out and reading drawings (where applicable).
- Collaborating with plant operators, supervisors, and other trades on site.
Requirements
- Valid CSCS card (Blue Skilled Worker card preferred)
- Proven experience in groundwork on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with groundworks tools, materials, and methods.
- UK Driving Licence required - site is not easily accessible via public transport.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures on site.
Desirable
- CPCS/NPORS tickets for dumper/roller or other plant machinery
- Confined spaces or deep excavation certification
- Previous experience working on HS2 or similar large-scale infrastructure projects
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends depending on site needs.
