Duties

• Conduct comprehensive vehicle examinations, including electronic vehicle health checks
• Identify non-routine faults and defects in the workshop or during road tests
• Carry out repairs and servicing of customer vehicles in accordance with technical standards
• Provide excellent, courteous, and responsive service to colleagues and customers
• Communicate vehicle progress and technical issues effectively to the service team and customers
• Support and mentor apprentices within the workshop
• Assist in developing and implementing improved work methods to enhance efficiency

Requirements of a Vehicle Technician

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, ideally within a main dealer environment
• Full UK driving licence is essential
• MOT licence desirable but not mandatory
• Ability to work within structured processes and promote best practices
• Customer-focused with strong communication skills
• First-time fix mentality and commitment to ongoing learning
• Team player, capable of supporting colleagues and apprentices
