We are seeking a highly accomplished Project Manager to provide exceptional leadership, technical direction, and day-to-day management for significant capital schemes across one of London's most prestigious and complex healthcare estates.

Key Responsibilities
Project & Design Governance

Technical Leadership
Lead the end-to-end design and construction management for significant capital works projects, ensuring delivery to the highest industry standards.

Design Assurance
Verify that all technical solutions put forward by designers and partners fully comply with safety standards, NHS protocols (HTMs/HBNs), statutory regulations, and the contract's commercial boundaries.

Design Coordination
Manage external design consultants to ensure crucial technical information is issued in line with the procurement strategy and that working drawings are finalised within schedule.
Commercial & Contractual Management

Commercial Integrity
Administer all contractual correspondence, notifications, and claim-related matters meticulously, protecting project margins and maintaining robust commercial governance.

Client & Stakeholder Relations
Represent the business at high-level meetings, acting as a trusted technical advisor to the NHS Trust, clinical staff, and project partners to cultivate long-term collaboration.

Risk Management
Identify and mitigate construction and operational risks early during project onboarding, particularly regarding work in live, critical hospital environments.
What We Are Looking For
Experience & Technical Expertise

Proven Track Record
Extensive experience managing capital works projects of a similar scale and complexity, with clear evidence of acting as both Principal Contractor and Principal Designer under CDM 2015 regulations.

Building Safety Act (BSA)
A strong working knowledge of the Building Safety Act, with a deep understanding of duty holder roles, safety-case principles for higher-risk buildings (HRBs), and the processes required to preserve the 'golden thread' of building information.

RIBA Stages
A comprehensive, hands-on understanding of project lifecycles across all RIBA stages, from initial concept design (Stage 1) through construction to handover and operational use (Stage 7).
Qualifications

Essential
Hold relevant trade-registered qualifications.

Technical background (electrical or mechanical)

Desirable
Professional membership or chartership with a recognised body (such as CIOB, RICS, APM, or equivalent).
